    Ar Vr Work

How Do AR and VR work?

    Introduction

AR Augmented Reality is an interactive experience where digital objects can overlay in a real-world environment.

VR Virtual reality is a simulated environment, which completely shuts down the outside world giving an immersive experience to the user.

    How Does Augmented Reality Work?

With every development in the digital world, the developers and engineers continue to refine their work in Augmented Reality technologies making the difference between the real world and virtual life even blurrier. Augmented Reality (AR) may soon be a true reality for us.

Augmented Reality works by mixing the elements of the digital world like- visual overlays and sensory projections into real-world environments. This can be done by using the camera of the user’s mobile phone. For Example- Pokemon Go witnessed the augmented reality into action where the Pokemon Creatures overlays the real-life neighborhood for us. Making them look very lifelike.

AR technology is not limited to entertainment but is also widely being used in fields like the Military and Medicine.

    How Does Virtual Reality Work?

Under Virtual Reality, a three-dimensional world is created using computer graphics which makes the user feel that he is in that world. This is called Immersion. For a true VR experience a game must include:

    • Three -Dimensional life-like images, that appear real to the users.
    • Tracking head and eye motions of the user and making changes in the environment according to that motions.

Virtual Reality technology depends upon VR Immersion, VR Environment, VR Interactivity, and VR Headsets.

Immersion is the feeling of being inside or a part of that digital environment that the user sees.

Sensory outputs should also adjust with the motions of the user. For Example- If the user is moving his head up and down, his eyes should see the environment scene changing and not constant.

Interactivity means the environment is interactive and motions are there with a change in environment, for example in a scene of a Roller Coaster Ride, there should be the use of a motion chair.

Virtual Environment requires a way to display systems to the user which is done by VR headsets that have monitors fixed for both the eyes and trace the motions of the user’s eyeballs. This makes VR more interactive and immersive.

Virtual Reality is used for various training and simulation exercises these days.

    Conclusion

AR and VR both are gaining popularity these days and developers and designers keep enhancing user experience by polishing and making these two more interactive and life-like by reducing the difference between imagination and gaming.
